Not gonna lie, the reason I put this in black and white is because the original color file was super over exposed and washed out. If you've seen the bulk of my work, you'll notice I primarily shoot at night or in low light, so shooting in the afternoon with a lot of light was unusual for me. I screwed up and was using way too slow of a shutter speed, and it washed out my image. I tried my best in post editing with photoshop to reduce the over exposure, but found the image only worked in black and white. Which is fine from an artistic stand point, but not fine for me because the rich greens and the blues from the water are now non-existent. To make this image work at all, I had to sacrifice the azure blue of the creek and the rich, emerald green from the leaves. Barton Creek is a beautiful location and black and white simply does not do it justice. Shame on me for using too slow a shutter speed and too wide and aperture.
